Thought for the Day

You know you are getting old when most everyone you know thinks that the song "Unchained Melody" (Righteous Brothers recording) is from the movie "Sleepless in Seattle" when in reality their recording pre-dates the movie and the song dates back to at least the mid-fifties. When I first heard it in approximately 1955, Al Hibler had a big hit with it and simultaneously with that there was a good instrumental version by either Percy Faith or Andre Kostelanetz and his orchestra, or both.
