Uh-oh

This could be bad timing as the decision today by the Massachusetts State Supreme Court in favor of gay marriage could cause considerable difficulty for John Kerry who is now the leading Democratic candidate nomination for president. Several months ago they gave indication that they were moving in this direction but if there are no right wing extremists on that court intent on derailing Kerry's presidential bid, then this certainly in a case of very bad timing. Could they not have put this decision off for one year? Although all major candidates seem to have similar opinions regarding gay marriage and/or civil unions, Kerry will need to be extremely careful in what he says during the next several months.
