It seems that the 2004 presidential primary might hinge on who is the best suited to be a strong president and keep this country safe from terrorists.  That sure is a red herring because neither Bush nor Kerry will be able to stop any future attacks.  That is now a fact of life as the genie is out of the bottle and until these evil people are either exterminated or see the errors of their way of life and learn to life with the rest of the people on this planet, no amount of security is going to stop attacks. Of course, the extermination of these people is a harsh and unrealistic option but it sometimes seems like that is the only viable option given their suicidal tactics.   As for who is best for the job of president, I don't think this country can afford the airhead Bush for another four years nor his gestapo like cronies.  Those people must be retired ASAP.

Now there was a report on CNN tonight about a group of middle Eastern men on a Northwest Airlines flight from somewhere in the midwest to Los Angeles acting very strangely and upsetting crew and passengers.  It is apparently believed by some that this was a dry run to test systems currently in place.

Oh well, when the news gets depressing we can leave it to the world of science to come up with something new and interesting such as astrophysicist Stephen Hawking's latest theory on
blackholes.  He seems to have reversed his earlier position greatly on this matter.
